Congratulations to Kellee Sutton, Cartersville Ruritan Club's 2019 Citizen of the Year. We are grateful for Kellee's generosity and tireless service. Kellee was honored at the annual Christmas dinner for all that she does for our community!
The Club's annual Baked Potato Social was held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Cartersville Volunteer Fire Department. The wonderful food and community atmosphere brought a huge crowd from Cartersville and the surrounding areas. Donations were taken at the door to support the Cartersville Ruritan Club's community service projects. Live music was provided by local favorite Drew Bowles, and soup and desserts were provided by club and community members. A huge THANK YOU goes out to everyone who made this such an enjoyable and successful event!

At this month's meeting, Cartersville Ruritan Club made a donation to Cartersville Volunteer Fire Department towards the organization's new building. The fire department is extremely appreciative of the gift and the support from the community and the Ruritans.
Community service projects like this one, building accessibility ramps for members of the community, are at the heart of the Ruritan mission.
On Thursday, October 13, the Cartersville Ruritan Club honored the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department and the area Virginia State Police with dinner and fellowship. Serving and Protecting their community is appreciated by all of Cumberland County's citizens!
